Britt is a performer, choreographer, filmmaker and producer of interdisciplinary events in both Berlin and Vancouver, Canada (Coast Salish Territory). Her work draws upon the complexities and rhythms of the natural world, in conjunction with the imagination’s fluxuating states of sensationality and being. As a choreographer she explores subconscious character, playing with particular subtleties and layers of mind and body. Britt’s work is focused on the physical, dynamic and rapidly evolving attributes of human nature. Multilinguality and extensive travel have afforded her work with an organic and sensitive synthesis of culture, language, dance and community.

Chamäléon (Alexandre Haudiquet)

French-Austrian, multi-instrumentalist and composer, Chamäléon meanders his way through a plethora of musical genres. Fascinated by visual and stage arts, he regularly puts his craft to work in movies, dance and theatre performances. His personal aesthetic explores social, technological and ecological topics and he seeks to present this art with a transdisciplinary approach. By mixing organic sounds, electronic textures and acoustic instruments, his music propels us into an intimate and psychic macrocosm defying the laws of gravity: an unidentified, immersive and cinematic sounding object. Gemme Atelier is an independent fashion and tailoring company based in Berlin, specializing in sustainable artisan-made folk clothing. We are built on holistic lifestyle philosophies, mindfulness and sustainable practices. Building immersive dreamscapes through movement and collaboration with other artisans in the community gives us LIFE! Ideas and bodies flowing harmoniously, bringing textiles into the third dimension and engaging a total sensory response. All forms of art should breathe together. Imogen Mansfield

Imogen Mansfield nourishes a dimensionally rich model of practice, encompassing writing, performance, photography and film. Notions of enmeshment and permeability, in body, dream and environment, inform and motivate her work. Through exploring natures of mind and complexity within the living being, her indeterminate approach enriches an ambient and reflective body of work, valuing the mystery of encounter that lies both within and beyond the self. Imogen is currently developing multiple projects for art and cinema, alongside a quietly active daily practice. Having worked with Chaos since its conception, she has continued to collaborate on a number of works, as well as taking care of production/project archiving.

Amr Karkout

Amr Karkout is a Berlin-based contemporary dancer and choreographer, originally from Damascus, Syria. As a choreographer and dancer, his main goals revolve around the body, imagination, fantasy, and thoughts. he aims to combine technical knowledge in contemporary dance, Ballroom dance, Tango, Salsa dance, and acrobatic floor work with a fresh approach. His focus lies in exploring new ways of moving and embracing improvisation. By merging different methods and techniques, he strives to create a unique and individual style of performance. This approach allows him to tap into the potential of the body, unleash his imagination, and express his thoughts through movement. He prioritizes the exploration of new possibilities and breaking traditional boundaries in dance. His artistic journey encompasses a blend of technical expertise, improvisation, and experimentation, enabling him to push the boundaries of movement and express his creative vision.

Nano Luque

Performer & Choreographer

Nano is a contemporary dancer, choreographer, performer, and movement teacher based in Barcelona and Berlin. He has studied mainly in Ecuador, Mexico, and the U.S., and since then, has worked as a freelancer globally, in countries such as the U.S., Mexico, Spain, Germany, and India. He enjoys merging different art forms into interdisciplinary projects and shares his love for movement through workshops open to those interested in these practices. He is a dynamic, physical, explosive, flowy, and grounded dancer who is constantly training whenever and wherever possible. Parallel to dance and art, Nano studied Mechatronics Engineering with a specialization in AI and holds a triple master's in Image Processing and Computer Vision, AI, and Computer Science.

Isabela Villalón 

Filmmaker, Performer & Painter

Isabela Villalón is a multidisciplinary artist from Ecuador with a focus on paint, performance and film. Coming from a background in oil painting and live painting, she moved to Berlin to develop her voice as an experimental filmmaker. With the intent of capturing the essence of live performance, her body of work depicts the tangled inner worlds of her characteristic creatures, exploring themes ranging from birth and death, to witchcraft and the occult.

Shannon Walsh

Performer & Singer

Shannon (she/her) is an interdisciplinary artist in Berlin, specializing in song and movement to convey deep emotions. She holds a BFA in modern dance from Marymount Manhattan College and has collaborated with renowned choreographers like Peter Chu, Maxine Doyle, Hannes Logas, and more. Shannon sees the body as a medium for profound expression, exploring the connection between the physical and spiritual realms. She currently freelances, performing solo and with her collective, Chaosemblematic, funded by Canada Council for the Arts. Besides her art, Shannon instructs in boxing, spinning, pilates, ballet, improvisation, and contemporary dance. Shannon's art extends to choreography, songwriting, and singing, enriching her creative journey. In Berlin's vibrant artistic community, she collaborates with musicians and dancers, contributing to the city's creative scene. Shannon invites audiences to explore the body as a vessel for profound self-expression and the soul's innermost truths.

Tanit Graffelman Brucart

Performer & Singer

Tanit is a Catalan/Dutch dancer, singer and actress born and raised in Barcelona. Setting her roots in movement research, she started dancing at the age of six and continued training in the Professional Contemporary Dance Conservatory at Institut del Teatre. Her ceaseless interest in other forms of artistic expression lead her to join the Dramatic Arts Bachelor program at Institut del Teatre, graduating in the specialty of Musical Theater. She has worked in theater and dance performance projects in Barcelona, Seattle, Stockholm and just recently, Berlin. She came to perform City Horses at the Tanz im August Festival and eventually decided to set ground in this ferocious city. Always crashing and fusing the categories in which artistic expression is rationalized while fighting for a more liberated way for female bodies to exist. Always moving, communicating, learning, unlearning, creating, grieving,... Powered by her cyclical way of living.

Zoe Amber Cochrane

Zoe is a 24-year-old British freelance dance artist based in Berlin. She graduated from Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in 2021 with first degree honours. She is a member of Chaos Emblematic and minus 8 dance collective. She works as a choreographer, performer and teacher of dance. She would describe her movement style as combining contemporary dance with an essence of popping and isolations, as well as influences from gaga and somatic approaches to the body. Her performance style is full of energy, dynamic and expressive.

Maxwell Rousso

Filmmaker, Painter, Writer

Maxwell Rousso is an American filmmaker, artist, and writer with a background in production design, editing, and VFX living full-time in Berlin. His paintings, stories, and films aim to explore layers within a simple idea. The process is intuitive and delves into subconscious feelings. This often leads to deeply emotional, abrasive works that confront the audience. He wants to validate feelings we all silently experience so the world can feel less alone in its anguish.

Aliénore (Eleanor Loftie)

Singer, Songwriter, Stylist

Aliénore (Eleanor Loftie) is a French-British singer & songwriter living in Berlin. Having grown up in rural South West France, Aliénore’s music can be described as alternative “witchy” pop. By layering ethereal vocals with enchanting synth lines and atmospheric sounds, and words written both in English & French, Aliénore's music pulls the listener into a dreamy soundscape with depth, rawness and sensibility. With a background in styling and fashion design, visual & sonic worlds collide in symbiosis. While, her training in classical choirs in her youth is highly influential on her bewitching soprano voice and her penchant for medieval & period music shines through in luscious harmonies and melodies that bring hope to any darkness. Highly inspired by nature, her mixed heritage and upbringing in the countryside, her songs beckon the listener into a vulnerable and dreamy sonic space.

Thiago Franzim

Musician

Thiago Franzim is a Brazilian musician and researcher based in Berlin. His artistic approach comprehends his work as a guitarist, composer and researcher in the field of sound/radio art and music education. The core of his work is an investigation in the use of the absurd, strangeness and comedy in the realm of rock n’roll. During his music degree in Brazil, Thiago carried out research about the use of radio as a creative platform, working with independent Brazilian radio collectives developing workshops, creating audio documentaries and performances based on sound collage. Since 2012 Thiago has worked as a guitarist and composer in different bands and projects, touring around Brazil, United States and Europe. His creative output could also be represented with the phonographic releases of his bands, that range between psychedelic progressive rock and metal records.

Mauro Fernández von Waldenburg

Musician & Performer

Mauro is a Canadian—Cuban musician, music producer, multi-instrumentalist and performer. Originally hailing from New York City, he has also performed and made work in Vancouver, Berlin and Barcelona. Mauro’s sound explores several genres and is heavily influenced by the analogue recordings of the 1960s/70s. He continues to experiment with blending different styles from psychedelic rock and blues to jazz. As a producer Mauro is exploring production techniques, constantly on a quest for something innovative and exciting. He is interested in using his knowledge of music production and composition to work with live performance and film, creating unique soundscapes. As well as being versed in the realms of music, Mauro dances and is interested in pushing the boundaries of what is dance and what is music.

Rachel Helten

Performer & Choreographer

Rachel Helten is a dance artist, choreographer, teacher and interdisciplinary creator based on the unceded indigenous land belonging to the Coast Salish peoples, including the territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō (Stolo), and Səl̓ílwəta/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. (Vancouver, B.C.). She has a BFA in dance from Simon Fraser University. She has had the honour of collaborating with a diverse range of artists and her work has been presented at various venues around the lower mainland and internationally. The cornerstones of Rachel's practice are found in deep listening, collaboration, interdisciplinary methods and unearthing the stories that live within our bodies. She desires to honour our diversity, oneness, history and the poetry of nature through her work.

KOFI

Musician

KOFI is a multidisciplinary artist‐producer currently based in Vancouver. A true creative, he chose music as his vocation at an early age, studying piano at age four, and writing and producing music for local artists before graduating university. Following his studies, he pursued acting and launched a film production company with his best friend, writing and developing films for major studios in Los Angeles. He returned to music, signing to an artist label in Montreal where he performed and developed a trademark sound. He returned to his hometown intent on releasing genre defying hip-hop inspired music, drawing from the familiar while pushing the envelope on what is sonically possible.

James-Amzin Nahirnick

Performer

James-Amzin Nahirnick is a contemporary dancer, tap dancer and improviser from Vancouver Island, BC, grateful to be born and based on stolen native land. James-Amzin’s aim in dance is to materialize the internal preposterousness. James-Amzin views dance as one of the last socially acceptable bastions of modern magical practice. He grew up performing in community theater and dance competitions, training in dance for the last 15 years as well as teaching contemporary and tap dance since 2018. He is a 2020 graduate of Modus Operandi Contemporary dance training program under the direction of David Raymond, Tiffany Tregarthen, and Kate Franklin. James-Amzin has been a guest tap dancer with Baby Face Brass, toured with Jenn Edwards’ & Jennifer Aoki’s ‘The Body Orchestra, danced In the Pina Bausch Nelken Line project organized by Paras Terezakis’ Kinesis Dance Somatheatro and danced with Company 605 in ‘Looping’, a three hour, in the round, improvised contemporary dance installation. For James-Amzin, dance is the materialized and shareable aspect of his spiritual practice that aims to elucidate the internal landscape.
