Ordo Virtutum
In June 2024, a group of five Chaos Emblematic artists were invited for a 10 day residential period and project for the cultural revitalization of the former Augustinian Chorherrenstift Monastery. Together— we had the opportunity to research and develop a work responding to Hildegard Von Bingen’s Ordo Virtutum — an allegorical morality play composed circa 1151. What emerged from this period was a performative installation, which took place through a series of stagings and settings within the monastery, expressing an interpretation of Hildegard’s work through movement, voice, theatre, music, visuals and poetry.
